Ashley Musick

Ashley is my great niece. Larry and Kathy Mitchell Musick's daughter. Ashley graduated from ACU in May. She is in Buenos Aires at this time teaching English, perfecting her Spanish and working with the Caballito congregation. While visiting she read with my LST readers as I had a doctor's appointment. She a helper! It's a delight to have her this close even if it is an over-night bus trip....

LST Team/September 2010

September 11, Mary Stephens, now living in Canyon, TX, Mickey Cole and Terri Coffey from Lubbock, TX, the West Plains congregation, arrived for a second trip to Cordoba city. Their last trip to Argentina was in 2008 as a Let's Start Talking team. The fruits of a returning team were very obvious. The women had stayed in contact with many of their readers over the 2 years. This team is the first to have had several invitations out and into reader's homes. Words to describe these women... Touching lives. Being salt and light. Building relationships in the name of Jesus. Their lights do shine for Jesus! May God continue to bless and use them. Amen.

Baptism/Cristian Azabal

September 15, Cristian was baptized into Jesus. The church in Alto Alberdi rejoiced with him as we witnessed his new birth. Cristian has been reading the Bible (LST) with me and others for the past three years. It has been a blessed experience for me to see the power of God through His Word. Cristian and his family hosted the youth that came in May-June as the LST team. Pray for him, his wife, Susana, and children, Ivan, Arturo and Victoria.

The Ferrarese Family

The Ferrarese family began meeting with the church in Alto Alberdi on Sundays this past April. Luis and Graciela are graduates from Baxter Institute in Honduras. They have an active work on the outskirts of the city, Hogar Dos. Their meeting times for now allow them to come more often to Alto Alberdi and worhip/fellowship with us. Good family. Their children are Gabriel, Elina and Luciano.

Fire On the Mountain

As some of you have read in my latest report, August 29 I received a phone call after worship that there was a fire very close to the house. Here are some pictures from that day and the next few days as we watched the fire put out. After the big fire was out, we had to watch the hotspots and put them out with water and dirt. Thankfully the Lord sent rain in 3 days and we were able to breath a little easier. Anxious moments. No lives, houses nor animals were lost. An added note. Those planes flew so low over the house we could hear the pilots talking to the guys on the ground. Impressive work.

Eric and Laura's Visit/Winter 2010

When Laura and Eric come to Argentina we try to gather for at least a few days all together. This year it was not possible for everyone to come because of work schedules. But...ALL the grands made it for a week of fun together. Lots of action with six kids around! I treasure these moments.

Old Friends Meet

During Laura's stay in the campo Gaby Silvestre and Gaby Cerutti came for a long weekend to visit. Old friends. Lots of memories. BIG NEWS. Gaby and Hector are going to be able to adopt little Lara. She has been their foster child for over a year. God is good! Lara will now have a birth certificate and a document. Lara Cerutti.

Six Week LST Team/May-June 2010

We continue to reachout in the community in Cordoba city through the Let's Start Talking Ministry. The first of two teams was from Memphis, TN. Students from Memphis State University. Brandon Davis, Terrance Brownlee, Lauren Nelson and Tara Swope worked very hard. They opened several new doors and also read with continuing readers. Sowing the seed of God's Word. We are thankful for these young people!

Special Events and Guests

The summer months were mixed with several special guests and events. One of those hightlights was pot-luck Sunday the Alto Alberdi church. Another the visit of Hugo and Judit.

Cerutti Visit

A special two days on the place filled with Ceruttis! Hugo and Vero with their four children Cristopher, Inzo, Thiago and Micaela. Hector and Gaby with their little Lara. It's one of those moments in life when you rejoice in the blessings of your extended family. That plus that Jesus promises to those who follow Him. Enjoy a few shots on the slide show that follows as we try to get some pictures!
