Church Retreat

September 25-27, the church gathered at my house. A long over-due retreat. We try to have a retreat at least twice a year. We were amazed once again as we prayed and encouraged each other. We had all come with the same concern for the growth of the church in Cordoba city. A need for more workers. Through prayer and sharing together our thoughts centered around Julio and Blanca Ludemann. At this time, Julio and Blanca are in the process of beginning to study through the Texas Gulf Coast Bible Institute led by Steve Austin, former missionary with me in Bs. As. More details will follow in my reports, but I wanted to take this opportunity via my blog to present Julio and Blanca to you. Thank you for your continued prayers for Cordoba.

July 2009 / Winter Vacations

Eric, Laura, Mattias and Zoe spent six weeks in the campo during their summer vacations USA. It was great! Most all our family gathered during the month. We worked, played and ate all our favorite foods. It's fun to share the following pictures with you. Scroll down to view the slide shows: Grands and Kids, Time Together in Work and Play, Tree House by the Creek, Reece's Tree, July 22, 2009/Snow.

Touching Lives

Raquel Rigotti Tolosa

Raquel lives in Abilene, TX but comes back to her hometown Cordoba city almost every year. This year she had a longer visit. Because of more time she was able to come to visit my place along with Nune and the LST workers. We had a great couple of days! How we all enjoyed her playing the piano in the middle of the woods!

And...it was special to spend a Sunday afternoon with Raquel and her music friend Elvira Ceballos. A documentary has been made in Argentina to tell Elvira's story. She is blind and now in a wheelchair but is by no means handicapped. An inspiring person to know!

Ana Maria Tolosa Ludemann

I present once again Pila and Ana Ludemann. They have been mentioned often during the past months. Ana Maria passed away after a year-long illness, May 29. Ana nicknamed "La Mami" rightfully expresses how her family and friends continue to feel about her. She was a dear. Loved. One was blessed to have known her.

Visit to Mother's

In the month of May I enjoyed a visit at Mom's in Rogers,AR. Many know mother as "Grandma Grace". Through the years in Argetina she was a surgate grandmother to many missionary children. She and Daddy visited us often in Buenos Aires. Her birthday is May 7. It always combines with Mother's Day. Double celebration!

Below are just a few pics with family and life-long friends. I had a special surprise visit from Phyllis Roggow who I hadn't seen for several years. We grew up together in the church in Tulsa, OK.
