LST Opens Doors
The LST ministry continues to open doors. To meet new people. Share the Bible in English. Speak to groups that want to practice their English. Here are two pictures. One sharing dinner with Daniel's family and their neighbor, Mariano. Both Daniel and Mariano read with me. And an invitation to share with a group of Leonidas' students in his hometown of Monte Cristo, East of Cordoba. A farm community. Pray for this ministry as we reach out to share God's Word and love in this world.
LST September/October 2008

September 21, Mary Stephens, Terri Coffey and Mickey Cole arrived in Cordoba. The second LST team for 2008. They came from the South Plains church in Lubbock, TX. They worked long hours for three weeks. Below are pictures of just a few of the lives they touched. They also saw different parts Cordoba from old cathedrals to the nearby mountains. Ambssadors for Jesus! The church has been blessed by their lives and service. Thank you girls!

My Dear Friend Down River
Eileen Osacar came to live in Cordoba,Argentina in 1948. Married an Argentine doctor. After being widowed in 1991, she moved to their ranch which is located down river from my house. Her son, Claudio, was a member for many years in the Alto Alberdi church. Eileen has hosted many through the years in her home. I came to know her in 2002. She's a dear person. A good friend. Some of you have heard her name mentioned over the past few years. Pray for Eileen.

USA : August 2008
Karen and I left Argentina August 7 to visit family and friends. Our travels in the USA took us to Arkansas and Texas. We spent 2 weeks with my mother on Beaver Lake in Rogers, AR. Then a long weekend in Texas at Laura's seeing some of our many friends in that area. Time was too short. But those we were able to see brought us great blessings. Following are slide shows of our different stops: Arkansas, Texas and then Santiago, Chile with Marcus and Luciana. Of course as any grandmother does I will "bore" you with many shots of my grands!
Marcus and Luciana/Santiago, Chile
August 27 Karen and I traveled from DFW to Santiago. We enjoyed our 7 day visit with Marcus and family. Lovely days in Santiago. It rained the day we arrived so the smog was not heavy. We were able to see and enjoy the Andes mountains around the city. Also we were able to enjoy the Pacific coast/beaches just an hour from the city. The following is a slide show of our days together.

Easter Weekend / Baptism
Easter Weekend-Part 2
Sunday after church we all gathered at Nune's home to enjoy an asado and celebrate recent birthdays. We were also honoring Carolina Archer's visit back to her home town. Carolina and her husband, Tim, live in Abilene, TX. Tim now works with Herald of Truth. Carolina is finishing up a second degree at ACU. They have two children, Daniel and Andrea. They worked many years in establishing the church in Cordoba city. It was great to have Carolina back for a week!
This 'N That Campo Pictures
Finally the gate and sign are up for "La Puerta". It is very typical to name your place in the country. I chose this name because "La Puerta" is used many times in Scripture to describe Jesus and His love for us.
Below are several pictures from over the past several weeks. You will see Evaristo and Hermelinda my new caseros (caretakers) who live and work with me. They are from Paraguay. God answered many prayers in sending them my way. We work well together. Evaristo carved the new sign you see above. Also carved 2 others not pictured here. I feel blessed to have them!
After the Fire
Hector and Gaby Cerutti would like to share the following pictures of the blessings they've received from many of you. You will remember their home burned almost a year ago. As you can see they are now in their home again. You can also see in the pictures the new roof, ceiling and floor, etc. Some of the black from the fire is still on the outside of the house. Thank you for your prayers and help.....Hector and Gaby
